Terms of Service
The agreement between your church and Maveec Labs for using Qavah ChMS: your account, fair use, your records, plans and payment.
1. About these terms
Qavah ChMS ("Qavah", "we", "us") is run by Maveec Labs, based in Ghana.
These terms are the agreement between your church and Maveec Labs for using Qavah. By creating an account or using Qavah, you accept them on your church's behalf. If you don't agree, please don't use Qavah.
2. Your church's account
The person who creates your church's account must be at least 18 years old and have your church's permission to accept these terms for it.
Your church decides who joins its team on Qavah and what each person can see. Team members must be at least 15, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's permission. Your church is responsible for what happens under its account, so invite only people you trust and remove anyone who should no longer have access.
- Keep passwords private and don't share sign-ins.
- Tell us straight away at support@getqavah.com if you think someone has got into your account without permission.
- Keep your church's contact details up to date so we can reach you about your account and payments.
3. Using Qavah fairly
Please don't:
- Use Qavah for anything unlawful, or to keep records you have no right to keep.
- Try to see or change another church's records, or get around the limits of your plan.
- Test, probe or break Qavah's security, or overload it on purpose.
- Copy, resell or reverse engineer Qavah, except where the law allows it.
- Upload harmful code or use Qavah to send spam.
4. Your church's records
Your church owns the records it adds to Qavah, such as member details, attendance and giving. We use them only to run Qavah for your church, as our Privacy Policy explains, and we never sell them.
People in your records, such as members and visitors, can be any age. Your church is responsible for having the right to record them, including permission from a parent or guardian before recording a child's details, and for keeping those records accurate.
We keep each church's records separate, so no other church can see them.
5. Plans, free trial and payment
The Free plan lets your church keep records for up to 50 active members at no cost. Paid plans include every feature and are priced by the number of active members. Visitors and inactive members are never counted.
A new church can try a paid plan free for 30 days, with no card needed. When the trial ends, your church moves to the Free plan and keeps all its records. If you pay before the trial ends, the days left are added to your plan.
Paid plans are paid in advance, for a month or a year at a time, in Ghana cedis (GH₵) through our payment provider, Paystack. You can pay with Mobile Money or a card, and bank transfers can be arranged with our team.
- Nothing renews on its own. We never charge you automatically.
- We remind you 7 days and 1 day before your plan ends.
- If you don't renew, you keep full access for 7 days. After that your church moves to the Free plan: paid features pause until you renew, and nothing is deleted.
- If you upgrade, the unused part of your current plan is credited against the new one.
- We give at least 30 days' notice before a price changes, and a change never affects a period you have already paid for.
6. Refunds
Payments are refunded only in the cases set out in our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.
7. Keeping Qavah running
We work to keep Qavah available and your records safe, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We announce planned maintenance in Qavah ahead of time.
We improve Qavah over time, and we tell you in advance about changes that significantly affect how your church uses it.
8. Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other churches or Qavah at risk. Where we can, we tell you why first and give you a chance to put things right.
Your church can close its account at any time by emailing support@getqavah.com. Ask us first if you would like a copy of your records. When an account is closed, we delete its records as our Privacy Policy describes.
9. Our responsibility to you
We take care to run Qavah well, but it is provided as it is, and we don't promise it will suit every purpose or be free of errors.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what your church paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that Ghanaian law does not allow us to limit.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We email your church's account owner at least 30 days before an important change takes effect, unless the law requires a change sooner. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ghana.
